ABOUT
Pianist Billie Whittaker resides in San Antonio and is a prominent contributor to its musical community. She is the collaborative pianist for the UTSA Concert Choir and University Chorus, and accompanies music majors in weekly lessons, rehearsals and recitals. She also holds the position of pianist and organist for Northern Hills Methodist Church.
She often collaborates with local high and middle schools' choral/vocal, instrumental, and musical theatre programs. She has been a harpsichordist with the San Antonio Symphony’s Baroque Series and the Baroque group Sonido Barroco. She is frequently engaged with theatrical productions at the Public Theatre of San Antonio and the Wonder Theatre. At the Public Theatre SA, Billie served as Music Director for Tick...Tick...Boom! and First Date, and was a keyboardist in their productions of Les Misérables, The Bridges of Madison County, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and many others.
Ms. Whittaker holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Collaborative Piano from Arizona State University and a Master’s of Music in Collaborative Piano from The University of Arizona. In 2016, she graduated with a Master’s of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Texas San Antonio.
